"In the ghettos of St.Louis, Mo. the average life for a black male was twenty. I was terrified of death. I lived in world that didn't love me or care. My anger caused me to hurt people. Later, as the only black in a small town high school, I was sure I would have to fight to survive. One day, I heard singing from a church. I was drawn as if be an unseen hand. A young man asked me to come in. I resisted, but I made my way in to see a small circle of youth. There was a peace there that I wanted. They asked me if I had accepted Christ. I said, "No." They asked me if I would like to. I bowed my head and asked Jesus to come into my life. He lifted all the garbage and pain out of my life and replaced it with His love. Cal.
