"I always wanted a father. When I was two my father went away and my mother went to jail. My sister and I lived with our grandparents. We had been abused in every imaginable way, and to get back at my parents I started drinking and smoking. I was only eleven. I thought that no one loved me. One day a friend invited me to go to church. I didn't want to go. I knew they were going to tell me that I was soooo bad! Instead, a guest speaker drew a picture of a lighthouse. The message he gave me was that without God, I was in the dark. He will show me the way to go and He will forgive me, because HE loves me! I accepted Jesus that day.
