"Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat some worms--long, slim, slimy, ones, short, fat, juicy, ones--itsy, bitsy, fuzzy, wuzzy, worms." I learned that song as a child, yet my mind replayed it for most of my life. I believed that lie, and it made me an emotional cripple. I didn't believe that anyone loved me--not even God. I couldn't receive love, and when one cannot receive love, he cannot give love. Can you believe it--I was a preacher, telling of God's love but unable to really believe that He loved me. It took years to realize that I was serving the Lord, not because He loved me, but in order to gain His love and approval. How stupid!! Now the song that keeps replaying is, "Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so..." Read more below.
