"I was confirmed, but not converted--religious, but not Christian--baptized, but not a believer. Something just didn't "take". When I hit High School, I began to run with the "wrong" crowd, and got heavy into sex, drugs and alcohol. Finally I got the American Dream-a wife, kids, a job and a nice home. Only one thing was missing--Jesus Christ. Then came divorce. In church, one Sunday, the Holy Spirit literally lifted me up from my seat and carried me to the altar. Jesus broke me right there. I cried out to Him (Psalms 40:1-3), and exclaimed that "I can't do it by myself!" Well, it's been three years and I praise Him daily. When I find myself looking down, I read Isaiah 61 and Psalms 51, and stand upon the promises that He Gives us!" Tom.
