"My father was a minister, who did not practice what his Christian faith taught. He was dominating, controlling and manipulative. He was mentally, abusive towards me. When I was ten years old, he even physically abused me by slamming a stack of hardcover school books on my head. He almost murdered my mother. I grew up hating my father, and although I knew about God, I didn't really know Him. After years of depression and several attempts at suicide, God met me at church through a very compassionate woman. She prayed over me, and by faith, the chains of bondage began to break off of my life.
