"All my life I had known "about" Jesus but I did not "know" Him. By the eighth grade, I had withdrawn, had become very depressed and wanted to die. I was drawn to slow, melancholy, music, and fell in love with a dead artist--Kurt Cobain. I'd curl up in the darkness of my room, with candles lit, swimming with sadness. I had his T shirts, and his CD's. His posters covered my room. I hated everything and everybody, and could find nothing to fill the deep hole in my life. I then realized that I needed God and found Him at a Christian Camp. It has been three years and I now know first hand the power, love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ.
