 "Instead of Thanksgiving with my parents, I spent it on life support in a hospital in Lexington, Ky. A stroke had rendered me as helpless as a baby. The doctors said I would be a vegetable the rest of my life. They also said I would never work again. I am so glad my Heavenly doctor knows better. I am not a vegetable and I believe God has something in my future for me to do. Before God's wake-up call, I was a backslidden Christian. I asked God's forgiveness and re-dedicated my life to Him. Since then, Psalms 119:71 says it all: "It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn Thy statutes."
