As a Registered Nurse, I see death often, so often in fact, that even as a Christian I began to doubt the reality of Heaven and Hell. Then I met Ellen. She was dying of cancer, but just lingered. I asked a nurse, who knew her, why did't God just take her? The nurse then told me the story. One night, while waiting to die, Ellen started to slip away. She started to smile as she had a vision of Heaven, then, without warning she screamed a hideous scream. When she awoke, she said she had seen hell. She then received Jesus, reconciled with her daughter and went back to waiting for death. I knew then why God had left her here. It had been for me to hear that story, and to have my waning faith strenthened. The next day, Ellen died. Janet. "Stand fast in the faith." I Corinthians 16:13.
