"Hey Paul, Got Another Beer?" Those words from high school came back to haunt me. My drinking schedule began at 5:30 A.M. and continued until I went to bed. An entry in my wife's diary drove me to tears as I realized what I was doing to those who loved me most. But, I still couldn't stop. AA didn't help me. The prayers and pleadings of friends didn't help. Finally, in the hospital, my eyes and skin yellow, and my liver four times its normal size, I just surrendered to the Lord. I said, "Lord, I am putting it all in your hands, do with me as You will."
