I recently read a book entitled "Power For Living." In it the author wrote often of Jesus knocking at the door of our hearts and asking to be admitted. I had done that many times in the past with no tangible results. Each time I had reservations. I wondered, "What would He ask of me?" or "What would He make me do?" or "What would He take away from me?" After reading the book, I asked again, but I thought I had waited too long. A few days later I awakened one morning to the sound of a light knocking...just three or four raps. Somehow I knew, even though I was just half awake, that Jesus had come. I not only invited Him in, but I asked Him to take control of my life...come what may. This time it worked.
