"You'll Never amount to anything." I grew up with these words and they caused a lot of pain and grief throughout my whole life. And yes, I still struggle with the destroyed confidence that results from emotional abuse. In fact, just writing out this testimony has been one of the most difficult things I have ever done. I don't know whether it was what people did to me, or just what they said to me that nearly destroyed me, but since I have been changed by the redeeming blood of Jesus, I have learned that I AM SOMEBODY SPECIAL. I AM A CHILD OF THE KING. I AM A WINNER. Philippians 4:13 says that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." There is no greater friend than Jesus.
