I was in my forties, divorced, an alcoholic, and had used and sold everything from "pot" to "crank". My home and possessions were gone and had just been "thrown out" by my son. We were sleeping by the river when a lady picked us up. She invited us to her church. It was there that Jesus took over. The life-changing power of the Spirit of God delivered us. We didn't have to change before coming to Jesus. He changed us! We're married now and have given our lives to God. I am convinced today that we would both be dead if it weren't for Him. Try this prayer like we did. Jesus, I know that I can't do it on my own. Please forgive my sins. Come into my heart and be my personal Savior. Baptize me with your Holy Spirit. I receive you now.
