I thought I was okay for heaven. I believed there was a God, sometimes even prayed to Him for help. It wasn't until my daughter accepted Jesus as her Saviour and I witnessed her miraculous transformation that I realized I really didn't have Jesus in my life. On my third visit to my daughter's church I confessed my need of a Saviour and asked Jesus to be Lord of my life. My husband received Christ soon afterwards. That was 21 years ago and Jesus' love has proven to be genuine. Just believing there is a God is not enough. Good works are not enough. Jesus is the only way to God and the only good works that count are those performed AFTER accepting Jesus for "No one comes to the Father but by me," said Jesus in John 14:6.
