As a result of repeated abuse as a child, I erected all sorts of walls around my life and would allow no one to come near. The only person who reached me was Billy Graham who reminded me as a 7 year-old that Jesus loved me. That simple statement sustained me. I became a "controller". Nobody got close to me. At age 45, as I tried to share my testimony, it soon became obvious that I didn't have one. I was religious, controlled and even a church goer, but not a Christian. It God's simple plan of salvation that caused me to invite Jesus Christ into my life. My life changed. I became a new creature in Christ, forgave my abuser and began to live, with a capitol (L).
