I was in the eighth grade and 14 when my dad got results from a test saying he had irregularities in his PSA level. We were told that he had been suffering from prostate cancer for three years. I cried a lot and was scared and depressed. Everyone at church told us to pray for comfort. I wanted more than comfort. I wanted to pray for healing so before his surgery we gathered around his bedside and asked God to heal him. The surgery went well, but tests after his surgery revealed that his cancer had spread. We continued to pray. Today his cancer is gone and he is completely back to normal. This whole experience drew me closer to the Lord and taught me to turn my problems over to Him. "Is any afflicted?
