In 1974, when I was twenty-five and shortly after I'd accepted our precious Lord, Christ Jesus as my personal savior, I began to pray for an elderly aunt, a sweet woman who knew our Lord and had raised me--and raised me telling me about Him. She had massive cataracts on both eyes and was blind in one eye, she had been that way for ten years. She was scheduled to go to San Francisco for surgery for this condition (a procedure that was new at that time) and was extremely worried about it. I prayed for her healing and asked a friend and his mothers prayer chain to pray as well, and just a couple days later both of the cataracts simultaneously came off of her eyes as she was in her kitchen. Her eyes had been so long out of synchronization that the muscles had atrophied and she saw double for some time, which was somewhat corrected with glasses but she didn't have to go to San Francisco.
