I grew up in the Church. My Mother prayed for me constantly. In my late teens, I drifted away (partied wildly, had to move out of my parents' house). I hoped the Army would help me. WRONG. After 3 years, I moved back home - still partying (ended up in jail for 3 days for DUI) and running from God (I went out the back door as preachers entered our house). Living alone in a 1 bedroom apartment, I came to the end of my rope at the age of 26. I really did not want to be a Christian. I saw them as hypocrites ... until I met several genuine Christian men who were actually full of the love of Christ. THAT got my attention!!! And, I knew I had to do something to straighten out my life. So, I knelt down by my bed and told the Lord I wanted my life to change and asked Him to help me. He changed my life when I could not do it myself. I still have a long way to go and know that I will never be perfect until He takes me home to be with Him. Meanwhile, LIFE IS GOOD.
