One day I climbed out on a ledge on the slopes of Mt. St. Helens before the big blow. I sat down dangling my legs over the edge about 500 ft. from the ground below me. Looking up I could see an eagles nest about 750 ft. above in a wind-blasted old tree. As I sat there marveling at the beauty that only a God of love could have made; I heard a whistling sound and looked up just in time to see a young eaglet falling down the side of the cliff with mother in hot pursuit. Just below me, she got under the little fella and he grabbed onto her back for all he was worth. This reminds me so much of the verse in Psalms 91:11-12 that promises that God's angels will bear us up lest we dash our foot against a wall. I have never forgotten this lesson that my Savior allowed me to witness. It has been spiritual anchor in the midst of the storm so many times.
