As a religious child who had a hunger for God, I attended church alone, but never heard the gospel. The summer I turned 17, I finally heard the gospel and accepted Christ. It was all so logical. I was a sinner - that wasn't hard to believe. I could not save myself, go to heaven by my own works. Christ came to die for my sins. I must accept the payment for the penalty of sin that Christ made for me on the cross. All so logical, so I admitted to God I was a sinner and asked Him to save me based on the work of Christ on the cross.
