Jesus constantly calls me to let my delusional self- interest die in His death, and to live the resurrected life of love-with-Him I was created for. I am an always-new life, sprouting because Jesus, the first "seed" died for me (John 12:23-28). He calls me to be holy so He can share His presence with me, in gentle, powerful, deeply intimate spiritual love. Jesus is even bringing me to share in the nature, the very substance of His own person (called "glory"). This is the passion of God's heart. Jesus revealed that in prayer, just before revealing God's terrific love by dying for us (John 17:20-26). His love and what it brings are all there is, everything else is a lie.
