I spent the early part of my life involved with alcohol and drugs. I met this wonderful young lady. For some strange reason we fell in love. She was a very committed Christian, and persuaded me to attend church with her. Well that was fine and is exactly what I did. But while we were apart I lived the wild life. We married and I still attended church with her to make her happy. The folks at church treated me wonderfully and I felt right at home. I could really put on a good front. On Jan. 22, 1972 things changed. That Sunday morning during a Baptist Men's Day worship, the Holy Spirit got hold of me and would not let me go. I almost knocked men down to get to the altar to confess my sins and accept Christ as my Savior. I have not been the same since.
