As a youth I learned about the sacrificial love of Jesus at summer camp and vowed to serve Him. However, my great need for acceptance led to wrong choices in dating and I ended up pregnant out of wedlock. I didn't know the Lord as a forgiving God. I felt He would never forgive me - nor could I forgive myself! That guilt turned my life into a one-way train headed nowhere. Years later, a friend invited me to his church. The minister asked if anyone wanted God's forgiveness. When he read in John 3:17 that Jesus came to save the world, not condemn it, I asked Jesus into my heart.
