When I was 39 (9 yrs ago), I was an alcoholic, who had been in jail at times on drunk related charges. I had a filthy mouth. God sent a messenger to me. I remember it well. A 12 yr old boy had just accepted Jesus. The boy asked me, "Are you a Christian?" Hoping to end the conversation, I said "No!!" What he then asked I would never forget, "Daddy, don't you love Jesus?" That's right he was my own son. I started going to church and asked Jesus to come into my life. HE did!! Oh how HE did. HE took away my alcoholism, drug cravings, and filthy mouth. HE brought peace, joy, and love. I now have not a "religion" but a relationship with a living God, through Jesus Christ, the SON. How about you...how would you answer the question? (Matt 27:22).
