My father in law recieved Christ and was saved! My husband and children had a heavy burden on their hearts for his salvation. My father in law was always the type of person that the only time he set foot in church was for a wedding or a funeral. A few weeks ago as he and I sat on the porch I asked him what it was that made his decision to give his life to Jesus? I wasn't expecting his answer. The more he talked to me the more he cried and spilled out his heart. He's never been an emotional person till now. My brother calls that God's tenderizer!! He told me that he always made excusses of why he couldn't go to church. He needed a hair cut or didn't have anything to wear. Or that he would get right one day. I know a few years ago one of our twin sons rode home with him from a baseball game and told him "Grandpa you're too good of a man to go to hell." I was surprised to hear that he told his grandpa that. Don't know if I'd been that bold about it myself but children have a way of telling it straight. I found out later from my mother in law that he came home from that ride and sat in his recliner for a long time and didn't say a word IT was a few years later that the same child of mine walked down to visit Grandpa and as they were talking told him that he knew he(Grandpa) couldn't read well but if he wanted him to he'd come down and read the bible to him. He confessed that that was what did it for him as tears streamed down his face. My heart went out to my father in law as he told me it was Justin that made him realize that Jesus was what he needed in his life. I know that God has answered my husband and childrens prayers for their grandfather. I have seen such a change in that mans life. Now he won't miss church and recently was baptized! Praise God he gave Justin the right words at the right time to help give his Grandpa the best gift he ever could have excepted. Jesus and Eternal Life.
