Growing up in a JW home I never knew what it meant to know the freedom of having Jesus Christ personally talk to us through His word and I would be greatly blessed if I may share a few answered prayers that the Holy Sprit had laid on my heart after seeking the Lord in much prayer and supplication. On the 29th March 1993 I was all alone in my room when the Holy Sprit spoke into my heart revealing to me my DESPERATE need for Christ’s forgiveness. I had never heard the gospel as a JW but I was deeply convicted of my own sinfulness and begged God to show me what I needed to do to get everlasting life. Falling to my knees I asked Jesus Christ to forgive me………just then the Holy Sprit laid John 3 v 3 on my heart, as I looked up into my mirror I SAW A NEW PERSON STARING back at me ,sobbing out of desperate RELIEF I asked “ Lord Jesus, what has just happened to me” I was once again directed to John 3 v 3,I ran to find my husband’s police issue bible and as I opened it ,it fell open at the EXACT scripture. I ran to my husband telling him that God had just spoken to me and he was greatly concerned for my well mental well being is what he said. As time progressed the Lord worked amazing scripture fulfillments in my life, especailly where false doctrine was being taught and each new day was spent consuming his word, growing in leaps and bounds as I saw His had at work. My family turned against me and poured out hatred for my newness of life,I was told I belonged to satan because I had dared to question the authority of their faith. Daily my faith grew as I witnessed Christ’s faithfulness and little did I know then but He was preparing me for a long road of trials ,tribulations and two deaths .I was overwhelmed by His PERFECTION. My father is a JW preacher and witnessed how Jesus revealed to me His word by His spirit ,but his anger kindled yet more towards me and threatened me in many ways not to dare to against his organization.( My family has now denied me,I am dead in their eyes) One day he sarcastically asked me to ask my “ Jehovah” what He thought of the JW org as he had heard me testify of how many times the Holy Spirit confirmed scripture to the body of Christ. I did and my father denied hereafter. Jesus gave me these 3 scriptures about 3 months after I was born again. Isa 29:13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near [me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Jer 29:9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. This was just the beginning of an exciting yet painful walk ,I knew now what Jesus meant to DENY ourselves and to follow Him . If you care I would love to share many more scriptures the Lord has blessed me with, I lost my young husband 24 hrs after he got saved( another awesome testimony ) and then my mum got killed the same day she got saved, and the Lord allowed me to see them BOTH become saved the same day!!! Jesus showed me scripture that He would send me to a strange land and I’ve been here in Canada for little under 5 yrs and am so blessed to see His hand at work ,using a unworthy vessel like myself, UNTO Him alone do I give the glory. I would love to reach out to so many more people with the Lord’s faithfulness and I pray that this will come to pass quickly.
