I am a 50 year old single woman with 2 adult children. I thought I had felt and did everything until I found out my husband of 17 years had been cheating on me. God has been really good to me. I lost my sister, mother and grandmother in a space of 5 months. God was there with me. I had a wonderful husband and my kids were during well in school. This is after the 3 deaths. Then it appeared my world came to an end. I found out my husband was having an affair with one of his employees. This woman had called my home and I handed the phone to my husband. I had no idea what was going on. This is what love and trust can have you doing. It was as if I had blinders on. I don't know what made me go home for lunch one day, but as I got to my door, I saw something written on it. As I began to read, my heart just dropped to my knees. She was unable to reach my husband or maybe he was trying to break it off. Whatever the case was, there it was as big as day. A message to my husband stating how much she loved him and wanted him to give her a call. This was written on my door with a marker. I wished that the ground would just open up and swoller me at that very minute. But it didn't and I was able with God's help to end the marriage and move on with my life. That's why I know God can get you thur anything. Every since my lost, I do a lot of volunteering at my job and in my community. This is how I was able to deal with my pain, by helping others, I get the greatest joy (I know greatest is not a word) but this is how I feel. People at my job always tease me about all the volunteering I go. But I LOVE it. My kids say they are very proud of me and my daughter has been trying to follow me. This is the best compliment she could have give me. I have been reading your column for months and thought maybe my testimony could help someone out there because there has been several that have helped me.
