After 14 years of marriage, my husband came home from a 3 month business trip and said he wanted a divorce. We have 3 beautiful girls, and he abandoned us. I am a recovering alcoholic who also became addicted to prescription pain killers. I was praying to God to either take my life or help me. He saved my life! I walked into a Narcotics Anonymous meeting on my own and confronted my physician and admitted my guilt. During my husband's business trip, I decided to turn it all over to the care of God. I admitted I had a problem and sought help. Since then, God has helped me and my girls move on, I purchased a home and am ready to live this new life. What is really amazing is the Lord has touched my children as well. They have asked the Lord into their prescious little hearts and my 4 year old makes sure she says her prayers ever night. We all pray and we try to get in the habit of praying at the family table asking God to bless our food. Nevertheless, My husband is a Catholic, however, he does not have that special relationship with the Lord. When I rededicated my life, he made things happen for me.
