I am thankful and grateful to the Lord for having saved me and I do not regret about it. I was born again on 6th July 1997 and from then onwards its been 'no turning back'. I was from a Hindu background very reserved and bound by religious traditions. 22 years I was dwelling in darkness and failed to see the love of Jesus Christ. Though there were many opportunities where He sought me but I failed to recognize my Master. When I was in Pune- India, I was invited by my friends for the 125th celebration of the Oldham Methodist church. I was touched by the verses in Rom 3:10-till the end, John 3:16 and John 14:6, and I realized that I was a sinner.I needed a Saviour and that Jesus alone can save me. I knew that just by doing good deeds will not save me but repenting for my sins, accepting Jesus as my personal God, Lord and my Saviour will save me. So I accepted Him and took baptism on 6th July . From there onwards He has been a faithful friend ,never changing. My parents are still Hindus and I pray that the Lord alone can convict them and bring them for the expansion of His kingdom and for His glory.
