My name is Luis Charbonier, and I am 20 years old. I Wasn't alway a born again believer in Jesus Christ. I was eleven years old when my friend William Potts and I smoked our first joint. Now let me tell you, between that first joint and untill the day I gave my life to Christ was a whole new word of depression, destruction, and defeat of another human soul. At 11 I became a marajuana addict. My dad owned a bar so I became a borderline alcoholic at thirteen years old when he would take my step-brother, Bruce Shepard, and I to his bar. Now since my dad had bartenders at this bar, I also was introduced to sex at a young age. I remember being at home and my dad bringing bartenders back from work and throwing them into my room as if I were gonna have sex with them. Thank God I never did, because even at a young age God had instilled in me a fear of judgement of sexually transmitted diseases. This went on for about 3 years. I was sixteen years old when my friend and I decided to take my step-fathers American Express and run the bill up to about 2400.00 dollars. Of course I got caught and was kicked out of my house for starting to ruin my mothers second marriage. My sister and brother n-law took me in. They had been believers for two years at the time. It was about the middle of March when I had a personal experiece with Jesus Christ. God had totally took the void that was in my heart and filled it. The despair that was there God brought a peace and joy unspeakable that I could never find in drugs, alcohol, or girls. And from the night I gave my life to Christ untill now, four and a half years ago I have been transformed beyond understanding. Whatever comes out of this testimony is that you can see that God can take something is as wretched as me make me a beautiful new person.
