My testimony-
God has been so great to me and I am learning and growing each day. I love the changes He has made in my life.

God tells us in His written word that the very purpose of our lives is to know and love Him and to have a personal relationship with Him. He created us for companionship and love.

I not sure if I have shared my story with you but I will now. In 1998 I was prepared to leave my home. I had a lot of problems and so much pain and anger. I looked for help for so long. I tried everything I knew of to solve the problems and nothing worked. I was shattered to think that my marriage would end and my children would have to live without a family as I did.

I had met a lady that had lived here who did missionary work and asked her to come to my home. She did and was so kind; she listened to my story of pain and despair. I looked at her pleading for help and she said with love and conviction that I needed to love, forgive and pray for help. That I should seek a closer relationship with the Lord. Instantly, I knew that this was the answer! It is impossible for God to forgive us until we forgive all those who have hurt us.

I found some Christian Internet sites (Christ.com is great) and started seeking the Lord. I read stories of prayers and answered prayers for weeks. My hope and faith increased and knew that God did love me and He would help me.

Shortly after this, I found a church and attended. The Lord spoke to me through this service and touched my heart; I felt His presence (nothing compares!) They had an alter call and asked if anyone would like to know the Lord personally. It felt as if angels lifted me from my chair to go up. I was so alone, brokenhearted and desperate for Gods love and direction.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:17)

I had believed in God and that Jesus was His son all of my life but had never known that in order to have Salvation-everlasting life in Heaven with Him, I must receive Jesus, ask Him into my heart and life, turn from myself and seek and follow Him. God will never come into a life unless he is invited-He loves us too much to force us to Him. It must be our own choice.

God writes in John 1:10 He (God) was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-children born not of natural decent, nor of human decision or a husbands will, but born of God.

The word tells us that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The Lord is Holy and man sinful- it is not possible to know Gods love and plan or reach him in any other way because of our sin. This is why Jesus came and died for our sins, so that we could be reconciled to God through faith in Christ. By receiving Christ, turning from our sin, we ask for forgiveness and God gives us a new life-our slate is clean. He gives us His Holy Spirit to help guide us and lead us each day. He fills our soul with love and completeness, which he created our soul for. No other person or activity or thing can fill that void in our lives-But God. Once you receive Christ, the void is gone, you arrive, the questions about why are we here and what is my life for are answered-you are home!

I am 100% sure. Since I asked Jesus into my life. He has given me His Spirit. Each day He speaks to me through Bible reading, other Christians, the church and through prayer. It is very exciting to have a relationship with God Himself, the creator of the Universe and everything in it. He reveals Himself to me in wonderful ways. He has saved our marriage, sent great friends into my life, is answering all of my prayers. God has blessed our lives, Chris' career, our children and led me to our new home overlooking the ocean. But the best blessing is to know Him and walk with Him and see others come to know Him.

I prayed for wisdom and he led me to a University in Texas and now I am enrolled in College for Christian Theology. I love it and am learning so much! It is by correspondence and I will have my degree in 3 years. I have a wonderful instructor who is teaching and encouraging me all the way. Ben is showing me how to live the full life God intends for us. Life filled with Gods love direction, purpose and abundant joy!

With Love Always

In Christ,

Lisa Hamilton
