I am now 16 years old, and I have been raised in a Christian family, and "believed" until I took a biology class. The teacher was an atheist, and it seemed like a class of proving evolution instead of teaching it as a theory. Many came up to my face and told me to get out of my fantasy world with Christianity. I got angry, both at the people who I was confronted with, and that I couldn't realize at that time how Jesus can help me. Out of ANY situation. He saved my life. Literally. He saved hundreds. We were on an airplane, about to take off. At the time, I had major doubts about my faith, because of the bad experiences. I thought,"What the heck. Maybe God can help me one day. Prove himself." I am a very nervous flyer, so I thought in my head "LORD, PLEASE KEEP ME SAFE ON THIS PLANE." -- that INSTANT, the plane came to a complete stop before taking off. The pilot explained -- an error message went off in the cockpit. So the plane stopped. They checked to see what the problem was, and there was none. The error message went off for no reason. Good thing it did -- because not to the pilots' knowledge, there was another plane landing in their blind spot, and never saw it until it whizzed by. If that "accidental" error message had not gone off, we would have certainly crashed. Everyone was in shock, even the pilots. But I don't believe that was accidental. I know it was the Lord answering my prayer.
