Shalom, My name is Sointu Purola. I am a Christian lady from Finland. a couple of weeks ago I wrote down a story about my trip to Israel. You are free to forward it on your "testimonies for Jesus" e-mails. Would you correct my grammar and misspelling. Your sister in Christ, Sointu Purola The marriage supper of the Lamb I would like to tell you something about my thoughts of Jesus' coming. This is a writing about my experience and feelings in Israel a couple of years ago. I was on holiday in Israel with my husband in 1997. We travelled through Israel with five other Christians from Finland. It was a wonderful trip. First we went to the north of Israel. We stayed for four nights in Tiberias on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Then we moved to Jerusalem, where we stayed also for four nights. From Jerusalem our small group took a bus to Eilat, to the south of Israel. On the way to the south we stopped in the Timna Park, which is located in the desert about 30 kilometres north of the town of Eilat. The Park is surrounded by the Timna Mountains. It has some really unique sites e.g. the oldest copper mines in the world. We headed for the Solomon's Pillars (high cliffs, which are sandstone - including copper). When we were approaching the pillars we faced an amazing view - there was going a wedding ceremony at the foot of the pillars. Each of us was astonished, even our guide has never before seen anything of this kind happening in the desert. (There was not electricity or any other facilities). There were a white wedding shelter, bride and bridegroom, rabbi and approximately a hundred guests. It was an unbelievable scene. The Chairs were covered with white clothes, there were flowers and the background was reddish rock. When I was admiring this beautiful view the Holy Spirit started speaking in my heart. God had brought me to the Timna Park just at the right time to see the wedding because He wanted to remind me that the wedding of His Son is coming near. "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear." Rev. 19:7-8 The wedding was not the only prophetical thing that happened to me while I was in Israel. One of those was a turtle-dove on the window sill of our hotel room. It was our last night in Eilat when I heard a strange voice behind our window. There was a singing turtle-dove. At that time I remembered the Song of Songs (it is one of my favourite book in the Bible). My beloved spoke, and said to me: "Rise up, my love, my fair one, And come away. For lo, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; The time of singing has come, And the voice of the TURTLE-DOVE Is heard in our land. 2:10-12. In my opinion this bible verse speaks about the love between Jesus (bridegroom) and His followers (bride). So, I felt that the dove on the window sill was singing to me about the coming wedding. We will be joined to Jesus as his bride and we will be with him for all eternity. He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen Rev. 22: 20-21 Love in Christ, Sointu Click HERE to return to the edited story Click HERE to create a banner that links to this story!
