My dad was a preacher for over 40 years. He was everything(and more) that a christian should be. He devoted his life to Jesus and did it with pleasure. He did not accumulate any wealth through out his life, or so I thought. My entire life I have lived as a lukewarm christian, thinking that because my dad was saved, that salvation extended to me and I did not have to do anything, I was wrong. My dad past away 11-17-99, the pain that I felt and still feel is sometimes too much to bear, but I have never felt closer to God than I did at the time of this trail. I analyze my dad's life and I can see now how wealthy he was. He did not care about the material things here on earth because he knew that when he died he would be entering a kingdom more powerful and wealthy that any on earth. I am still trying to learn more about God and his plan for me on earth, but the greatest gift was already given to me, my dad. Thank you God for your blessings and for your love, may I learn to trust you as much as my dad did and see the path that you have opened for me.
