He Invites - I FOUND JESUS IN A MOSLEM COUNTRY

Hi, I'm Maria Luisa C. del Rosario. Greetings of peace
and love I send you in the name of Jesus Christ! This
is such a great opportunity to share about God's
greatness in my life. As I read through almost all the
testimonies of our brethren one question struck me,
'will it be only worth testifying if you've gone
through some devastating happening and God comes to
your rescue? The Holy Spirit then gave me the verse
Eph. 5:20.. "always giving thanks to God the Father
for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

I am a Filipina, 18 years old and am now a college
student in the University of the Philippines. What I
am to testify about, is how gentle God dealt with me
through all these years. Mine is a very simple but I
believe, a tasteful testimony. For six long years my
family and I stayed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a
place where Jesus is only known as a prophet and not
as our Savior. There Christianity is absolutely a
"no", we even have to gather to a 'closed' place to be
able to have a proper fellowship. but it was there
that I personally met and have known the Lord. In that
country, I have experienced both the ups and downs of
my life. No regrets though, because through that I've
come to develop intimacy with the Lord. My friends and
my family have always regarded me a very talented,
smart and a kind person/daughter- having achieved a
lot at a very young age. The praise of men and those
many awards merely provided me happiness and flattery,
but not peace. not joy.
I just found myself acquiring all that I need in
Christ.
Sure, I go through my short coming everyday yet with
His unselfish love for me, He keeps me reminded what a
gracious and faithful Lord He is to me, to us. Now I'm
very much contented with my family- altogether we are
serving the Lord through music. And if God wills, I
would like to be used by Him as a pastor or a
missionary someday.
To Him, all glory and power and thanksgiving belong.
