I have been a Christian since I was very young, but it didn't take hold of me until a very long year that involved a lot of struggle for me. It all started when I got into dating people, yeah it first was all simple and easy, just like anyone else. By my second boyfriend I was a lot more serious. When we broke up, it simply was over, end of story. I was heart broken that some one I loved so much felt nothing for me. So, I picked up the next guy that came along. I told teh 2nd boyfriend about the relationship and I was almost raped by him. It was the scariest thing, and yet I continued in the horrid cycle. My boyfriend said he's make it okay, and sure, he did his best, but it didn't compare to what Jesus was going to do in a few months. The third one and I dated for 4 months on and off, and we focused totally on each other, and even though I was involved with the church he was my heart. When we broke up the last time I was broken and empty, with no reason to live and was quite suicidal at times, besides the annorexia that drove me on to my own perfection which I was so far from. A few weeks later I was able to serve others, and get into real Bible study. It changed my heart, and I was able to help a lot of other people, working at camps and doing missions. God has kept me from dating for over 6 months now, and has used my testimony over and over again to touch the hearts of those who experience so much pain, just like I did. I know now that Philippians 1:6 "He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion in the Day of Christ Jesus" I can't give up now, He is working on me, making me more like Him.
