How do we measure sucess? Many drive luxury cars, live in upperclass neighborhoods and have amazing careers, but their children are lonely, hurting and lost.

When I look at my children, I see the grace of God. From my oldest son, a police officer and father of a new son, to my youngest son whom God has blessed with a pure heart that longs to worship him with the talents He has given Andre to praise Him with instruments.

God has taken a little girl who was abused in every aspect, a girl ripped apart and degraded by her own family, and given me the greatest joy of all - to see the LORD's goodness all over my children.

Married at thirteen years old to a boy that would later add to the list of abuse I had already suffered from, I soon became a mother and shortly thereafter starting drinking and smoking pot to keep from having a nervous breakdown from the insane life of becoming a mother before the age of fourteen.

As the years progressed, I became more dependent on drugs to escape the reality of my duties as a mother. By the time I was seventeen, I was dependent on wine and had already atempted suicide twice. But God had plans to bless me and set me free. His mercy did not allow me to die and as He waited for me to turn to Him and surrender to His call He guarded my life from total destruction.

My second child, my first daughter, was born when I was nineteen. I was at that time responsible for caring for my father who was paralized. With so much responsibility, I slide deeper into hard drugs and cocaine, tequila, qualudes, angeldust were at the top of my list of self destruction to cope.

By the grace of God, I have been free from the desire to drink or take drugs for 8 wonderful years now. I now run to His feet and He lifts me higher than any drug or gin ever did. He fills me with so much agape love that sometimes I have to dance or run or shout because it fills every fiber of my being.

He has blessed my daughters, with grace to dance like angels that minister emotional healing to all who are in need. They are beautiful ministers of His mercy and loving kindness toward us. Though their father was as lost a soul as I was, a man who almost killed me because of his violence, who ran from responsibility like fire, our heavenly Father has brought healing to them to pass on to all. Truly God heals all wounds: rejection, betrayal, and every evil under the sun.

God has blessed me with a second son to raise as He commands - in the beauty of holiness. My child can bring healing through music as he is lead into God's presence by His glory. While he too never knew the love of his natural dad, His Father gives him supernatural gifts from above.

I am now a teacher to girls the same age as I was when I was most abused. To be able to share with them the power of God's love, hope and mercy is completely rewarding.
What a blessing it is to teach young girls who are looking for the same thing I was looking for, perfect love, that it is only found in one place; in the arms of Jesus.
