Ever since I can remember until the day my mother died she intoned the same thing into my head...namely that I was an accident. Not only that, I was a mistake and I didn't deserve to be on earth. It didn't matter, she said, what I did, it would never be good enough for her, for anyone else, or even for God Himself. I wasn't very old when I started believing her because she kept telling me and children tend to believe their parents. When I was 8 my parents divorced, when I was 9 I was sexually molested by my mother's friend's drunk husband. When I was 13 I lost my virginity to the boy down the street. When I was 16, I took a drug overdose to end my life; fortunately I didn't take enough to do so, only enough to make me wretchedly sick. When I was 18 I married a creep just to get away from my Mother. He raped me repeatedly, beat me, he was into drugs and sex parties and if I did not cooperate, he beat me severely. I soon got a divorce. Next, still searching desperately for love and not knowing where I could find any, I decided to live with another guy. Soon I was pregnant, and soon after the baby was born, he abandoned me in the street, 800 miles from home, with a 3 week old baby, no money, no vehicle, and no place to stay. Finally, I met the guy I'm married to now. We had another baby and have been together 17 years. Our baby is now 15 years old and has been handicapped since he was 2 and had a stroke. He has seizures among other things. IN the first 5 years of our marriage we were homeless 3 times because my husband refused to work. Finally, we started attending a church that preaches salvation. We both got saved and what a difference. My husband works steady, we actually have stability, along with a lot of blessings. Yes we still have problems. Our son will always be handicapped, but God makes all things possible. God is so wonderful. Just keep seeking His face and He will shower you with blessings!
