By the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, my life has been totally transformed. I was wretched, alone and in torment, but now I know His peace. I lost my faith over 20 years ago. The Devil came and told me not to believe. He kept telling me what rubbish it was, and that I didn't believe it. This always happened during the sermon. He was very strong and eventually he won. I left the Church, my faith totally shattered and destroyed. I then had no beliefs, and for the next 12 years I walked alone, in darkness and misery. I was so unhappy and I didn't know why. Seeking happiness, I followed pop stars and invested in material things, but they only made me feel bereft. In May of 1990, I met a relative in Malta. He was a good and holy man and after our discussion I shook his hand. I will never forget what I felt - the Spirit, the Eternal Force of God. At the time I didn't know what it was. However, I was sure that I had been given a message and I tried to find out what it was. Eventually I began to feel that somebody was trying to reach out to me, and I knew it was God. I asked and prayed for his help. One day, while working at my craft stall, a man came past. We got talking, and I told him of a visionary dream that I had had. He explained that it meant my life would change, but everything would be alright and not to worry. Half an hour later my eyes were opened to the Spirit of God. Much fear left me, and I started to believe once more, but I was afraid of God and did not want to listen to him. Because of this, I followed many other faiths in my quest for Truth. In the end, I discarded all of them, because they only made me feel worse. Last Christmas, I went to Midnight Mass with my parents, the first time for many years that I had gone willingly to church. It was so beautiful that I decided to start going back to church. I started going to my local Catholic church and was immediately struck by the true spirituality and deep faith of everyone there. I was made very welcome and my life began to transform. On Wednesday I spoke with Father Dominic. I told him of my mental anguish and pain, and through his words, and God's grace, I was healed. The Devil left me and he's not coming back! All my pain has gone and I have no more doubts. The Lord Jesus has given me back my life, my soul and my heart. He truly is the Saviour of the World, and there is no-one else who can do this. I no longer fear anything, for I have complete trust in Jesus. I am so happy, and feel no ill-will towards anyone, for I have been set free by the power of Jesus Christ. If anyone would like to share their story with me, I will reply to any e-mails.
