I was a heavy smoker for forty five years. I' been doing a lot of Bible study since 1981 and decided I wanted to be ordained after much study. I felt I had to give up my smoking as the two didn't go together. That night as I said my prayer I asked God to help me quit smoking. I proceeded to tell Him I didn't want the munchies or the with drawal. Then I thought ,well you don't ask Him for help and then tell Him how to do it. So I said,'Lord I'm just going to erase all that and put it in your hands. In the morning I set at my bed and thought ,well I guess I'll go have a cup of coffee and a cigarette.I heard that still ,quiet voice in back of me say,"no your not". It was so real I had to look behind me. I went to the kitchen poured me a cup of coffee , I did not light up a cigarette or even crave one. to this day I have not had even one cigarette to my lips or the desire to smoke.
