Dear Sir, I have been very touched and blessed by your ministry over the internet. My heart has been touched by the numerous amounts of testimonies that you had posted up. I have been inspired to share my own. It is about abuse and/or fear. I grew up in a home where my father was known by many as a minister, yet he did not practice what his Christian faith taught. He was dominating, controling and manipulative over my mother. He was emotionally, mentally,and phsycologically abusive towards me. Once, he even physically abused me by slamming a stack of hardcover school books on my head when I was ten years old. I was already very afraid of him because when I was eight, he almost murdered my mother. I grew up hating my father, and although I knew about God, I didn't really know Him. One day, after years of depression and several attempts at suicide, God met me at church through a very compassionate woman. She prayed over me, and by faith, the chains of bondage began to break off of my life. Now, I have chosen to seek God with my whole heart because he has brought me through so many situations- especially the abuse of my father. I have forgiven my father and moved on with my life, and now, instead of anger, hatred, depression, and fear, God is in control. I owe it to God to share this with the world.
