Dear Don, The Prodigal Son: Luke 15:11-32 My name is Victor Favela, and heres my story. Thanks for allowing me too share it. As a person from the Catholic faith I wasn't faithful at all. alcohol and drugs was a big part of my lifestyle. After high school, I left for the service, and on into Desert Storm where I became religious. In the mean time my mother had given her life to christ, and was born again. She gave God the glory, because I came back to her alive, still doing what I did best. She actively persued me and gently pushed me torward a relationship with christ......I accepted, but not withour repercussion. I fought battles that Desert Storm coudln't touch and through my weakness, eventually gave in.......Again. I was born again in 1991 and backslide to unimaginable depths by 1994. By 1997 I'd received my first DWI, was doing drugs I'd never even heard of, was married with one beautiful baby girl after only knowing her a few months, abused my wife, assaulted a police officer nearly breaking his arm, had gone to jail four times, worked for my father and hated it and livied in the slums. Early in 97' though I'd had enough. I rededicated my life back to Christ one night in jail, and promised I'd never turn back.......I didn't. I went back to school and received my license, My wife abandoned the baby and I, but I got sole custody with child support. was employed as an aerospace techncian, bought a new home, quit drinking and smoking, made wonderful peace with God, made unbreakable friendships and am still serving the Lord with all of my heart, but not without repercussions though,.
