Ephesians 5:20 "Giving thanks always to God the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord" Having only been in my community for nine months I felt the Lord wanted me to do a Thanksgiving dinner for whoever wanted to come. Since the VFW Hall lets me use their building to do a bible study with the high schoolers I asked to do the dinner there and they said yes. What a blessed day we had as we served over 110 people and let them see the Love of God. The best part of the whole day was my roommate's friend came to help and was so giving in regards to doing dishes, pouring coffee, and taking dinners to the folks. I knew he didn't know the Lord and as we were the last two people in the building after cleaning up I shared with him the gospel. The good news that he can be forgiven and have a relationship with our Savior Jesus and that is the reason we did this dinner in the first place. As he contemplated the words I had just shared he decided to ask Jesus into his heart. What a true Thanksgiving it was for me to see a new brother going to Heaven. Rejoicing because he has me here in Brookings, Oregon to do his Will!
