I was raised by parents who were saved. They were very strick, but once I left home, the things I had never done, never experienced, I did. I drank, partied, even ended up cheating on my husband. Time and time again, I would go to church, claim to come back to God, then I would allow the lure of the worldly lusts to pull me away from Christ. About three years ago, I got tired of the life I was living. I started going to church again, and Jesus touched my life. I turned back to God. At first, though, I didn't think Jesus would forgive me for all the sin I had wallowed in. I felt like I was the lowest, dirtiest thing on the earth. But I tell you, Christ touched my life and showed me that when I repented, asked Christ to forgive me, He forgave me! My life has not been the same since. FOr the first time in my life, God's word actually has changed me! The way of life I was living changed for me and my family. My husband started commenting on how changed I was. I tell you all the glory goes to God. His word is truly a life changer. I stopped looking back, and started looking forward to Christ. Oh life has it's trials and tribulations, but I have learned that is a part of life, but the difference is that Christ is with me every step of the way. I hold to Hebrews 13:5 "....I will never leave you nor forsake you....." that is truly a comfort, as well as James 1:2 "Count it all joy, when you fall into various trials" I have learned that these trials only come to make me stronger, closer to Christ, and gets rid of some way or habit that was not like Christ.
