Hi everyone, I came to know Jesus Christ in 1997. I had been drinking, doing drugs-you name it since 1969. Throughout this time I had many bad experiences always throwing 'caution to the wind',but somehow surviving many disasters. I was truly on the road to hell.There seemed to be no stopping this self-destruction until April'94. One morning while at work I took a terrible fall shattering both heels and ankles, fracturing 3 vertebrea, and breaking my arm and wrist in several places!! Well I think I arrived at the gates of hell that day, but still hadn't seen the light. I was releasd from hospital 1 month later into the care of a 24hr nurse, she had a captive audience you might say, as I was confined to a bed and wheelchair, and totally dependant on her. She was a christian lady and instantly knew I needed more than her help alone. Every day she would leave a page from 'The Daily Bread' on my breakfast tray. At first I resented her doing this, and rejected her suggestions of coming to Christ. It was a long hard battle for my soul as satan was now faced with a messenger from the Lord. I truly believe this angel was sent to save me. We were married in the spring of '95, and I sought insrtruction of the scriptures with my wife and personal angel. I accepted Jesus as my personal saviour, and we were both baptised by emmersion at Central Heights M.B. Church the week before Easter 1998. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain me. Psalm 51; 10:12 Praise be to the LORD!
